A diet based on the theory formulated by the naturopathic physician James D’Adamo. For almost three decades the theory was that as blood type, certain foods are better tolerated than others, and to follow a diet that our body does not assimilate well, can cause certain problems and / or diseases.
This theory was formulated by the naturopathic physician James D’Adamo, who in 1980 published his first findings in the book entitled “The food of a man.”
His son, Peter D’Adamo, naturopathic physician also deepened in the remarks of his father and published the results in 1996 in the book that has become known worldwide this theory, called “The Food and blood groups.
Subsequently there have been other books that address the issue as “The diet according to your blood group,” the author Anita Hessmann-Kosaris, naturopath and author of books.
What is the diet according to blood type?
In medicine it has long been known that certain diseases most commonly affect persons belonging to one or another blood group. Dr. James D’Adamo, after many years of research and experiment, found
that diet also plays a vital role in the interrelationship with the blood type of each individual.
Basically there are four major blood groups: O, A, B and AB, which were characterized as such by the Austrian scientist Karl Landsteiner, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine in 1930.
The power which suits you according to your blood type
D’Adamo explains that each of these groups emerged in different periods of human evolution. For example, group 0, is the oldest and his ancestors were hunters and gatherers loners, “people in this group need to eat much meat, fish and some vegetables.
The Group A, known as “sociable farmers, are more willing to follow an almost vegetarian diet. Need to consume enough vegetables, rice and cereals.
The type B, are labeled as “the brawny sensitive” and they require an intake of eggs and dairy products.
Finally the group AB are called “hybrid”, having recently emerged.
These guys can eat all the food, although very little meat and fish.
This theory has caused considerable controversy, and how most diets, there are those who praise and criticize harshly.
