<p>Many people around the world struggle daily against the dreaded cholesterol, which is that although it is a necessary lipid body, if it exceeds the appropriate levels, causes serious health problems.</p>
<p>There are two types of cholesterol in our body, called the good cholesterol (HDL) and bad cholesterol (LDL).<span id="more-102"></span>High cholesterol, also known as hypercholesterolemia, favors the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases such as arteriosclerosis, myocardial or cerebral thrombosis, leading causes of death in the Western world.</p>
<p>Excessive consumption of saturated fat is the main cause of increased cholesterol, although this depends only on the diet. We also know that genes play an important role in cholesterol levels, as there are people who follow unhealthy diets and have low cholesterol, while others are adequate diets, exercise and yet need to take medication to keep their level of cholesterol.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cubscoutorganizer.com/"><strong>Forbidden foods</strong></a><br />
The anti-cholesterol diet restricts some foods such as egg yolk, egg sauces, mayonnaise, viscera (including liver, kidney, brain, etc..), Seafood (lobster, shrimp and crab), bakery products and pastries (such as cookies, cakes, ice cream), pates, bacon, burgers, fatty meats or processed meats, cold cuts, dairy fat, fatty cheese, cream, snacks, chocolate bars, pre-cooked foods, fried foods with trans fats or artificial fats.</p>

6. Spaghetti integral (preferably), or other tomato sauce, do not add grated cheese, turkey breast fillet, grilled, with tomato and radicheta or spinach.<br />
7. Salad with peppers, tomatoes and onions, haddock or other fish baked or grilled.<br />
8. Vegetable soup, lean cuts Milanese, baked, or fried with little oil and is preferably olive or canola oil, nonfat yogurt.</p>
<p><strong>DINNER</strong></p>
<p>1. Natural tomato stuffed with tuna (tuna), fish with tomato<br />
2. Spinach, boiled, soufle pumpkin (pumpkin puree, 2 beaten egg whites and baked), salad of lettuce and tomato.<br />
3. Vegetable soup, chicken with mashed potatoes (potatoes)<br />
4. Asparagus to taste, brown rice with seafood<br />
5. Spinach pie, fish with onion<br />
6. Beans (green beans, peas), potatoes (potatoes) boiled, 1 small serving of pasta, or 2 slices of pizza without cheese, tea<br />

It discusses the importance of basing food in natural products, which have lower caloric density.<span id="more-96"></span>Pritkin diet is a diet based on low intakes of fat and a diet rich in complex carbohydrates (75% -80%) and fibers. It basically consists of the consumption of vegetables, fruits, grains and cereals. It allows the animal protein, processed foods (like pasta and bread), eggs, and most fats.</p>
<p>The Pritikin diet is the opposite of the Atkins diet, because the latter are consumed in large amounts of protein and minimal carbohydrates.</p>
<p>Like any system, the Pritikin diet has its advantages and disadvantages.</p>

<p>The typical American diet has high levels of protein, cereal grains and other foods that produce acid. In general, such diets generate tiny amounts of acid each day. With aging, mild metabolic acidosis develops but slowly increasing, according to researchers.<span id="more-88"></span></p>
<p>It appears that acidosis causes muscle wasting. Therefore, the researchers studied the connections between the amount of lean body mass and diets of fruits and vegetables rich in potassium and alkaline wastes. Such diets could help neutralize acidosis. Food can be considered alkaline or acid based waste produced by them in the body, rather than whether they are alkaline or acidic themselves. For example, the body metabolizes the grapefruits acidic to alkaline residues.</p>
<p>The researchers conducted an analysis of a cross section at about 400 male and female volunteers aged 65 or older who had completed a three-year experiment on measures to prevent osteoporosis. In that experiment, the volunteers&#8217; physical activity, height and weight, and percentage of lean body mass were measured at baseline and after three years. Also, urinary potassium level was measured at baseline, and dietary data were collected after 18 months.<br />
Based on regression models, it is likely that volunteers with high-potassium diets have 3.6 more pounds of lean muscle mass than volunteers with only half the highest consumption of potassium. This increase almost compensates for the 4.4 pounds of lean tissue typically lost during a decade in healthy people 65 years of age or older, according to the authors. The study was published in the journal American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.</p>
<p>Sarcopenia, or loss of muscle mass, can cause falls due to weakened muscles in the leg. The authors encourage further studies to study effects on muscle mass and muscle function of increasing total consumption of foods that produce alkaline residues.</p>
